2015 Grenache Blanc (100% Grenache Blanc)                                                Dry-Farmed

Grenache Blanc as experienced in the hills of west Paso Robles does an incredible job bridging the unique characteristics of Roussanne and Picpoul Blanc. It has the ability to maintain the presence and power of Roussanne while perpetuating the fresh vitality of Picpoul Blanc. Our 2015 has unswerving minerality layered with lengthy notes of green apple laid out on a bed of straw.

2016 Oveja (76% Picpoul Blanc & 24% Grenache Blanc)                                 Dry-Farmed

Immediately there exists a mélange of tropical aromas like under ripened guava, pineapple and more of a green papaya mixed in with what’s starting to feel like an Old Oak vineyard signature combination of oak leaves and hay notes. Fermented and aged in concrete this chalky wine unfolds very elegantly with softness and smoothness, proclaiming itself to be a wine meant for the joyful meandering conversations found amongst friends and family.

2012 Points West Red (48% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 11% Grenache, 11% Cinsault, 9% Counoise)

The 2012 Points West Red is a velvety, gamey, savory with a little bit of earth and fruit in a glass. With a freshness that belies its vintage, you’ll enjoy a mélange of baking spice, licorice, blueberry and white pepper. Chalky and ripe tannins are sucked right up from the soils and provide a pleasantly chewy feel. The foodies amongst you could pair this wine with a dish of braised venison and seasonal roasted root veggies.

The wine, now six years in the making is at an impressive place with a lovely integration of flavor and tannic power. With the holiday meals approaching and as friends and family gather around the table, rest assured that our 2010 Bollo will be that wine that will knock some socks off!

2013 Tannat (100% Tannat)                                                                               Dry-Farmed

The fruit for this vintage is hailing from the almighty Klau Mine Vineyard. Skip and Nancy Dodd are fifth generation farmers of this land. This is the first vintage a single varietal Tannat has come from this property. Proud to use the word elegance when describing this wine, as Tannat is rarely thought of in that sense. In true fashion, Neil was able to tame the beast, while still allowing for a well-structured and extremely integrated wine. A beautiful blend of red and black fruit affords earthy tones to accompany on the back palate.  Try pairing with a number of braised meats and wild game!
