2009 Von Dog

As always, and not surprising given the varietals, this wine is very deep and dark in color with deep purple at the rim. The nose is complex with dark fruit, spices, and a rich morel core with an alluring bloodiness at the back. Velvet on the palate yet with impressive power and hints of wild herb finishing with supple tannins and good acidity, long and thoughtful.
